Pattas - Movie Review

Pattas

Wonder of the fireworks comes out when it is exploded.

‘pattas’ another ledendary film by RS Durai Senthilkumar after Asuran. Released recently ends up gaining its score from all the kollywood lovers

The movie starts with a flashback of a woman arrested for a murdering of a foreigner in 2001. Then the viewer is brought directly back to the present 2020. Famous actor Dhanush is in your screen playing the role of Pattas(sakthi); a naughty boy living in Chennai doing all the small time thievery with his friend ‘Puncture’ and doing playful retaliation against ‘Sadhana’ who lives in the neighborhood.

The movie is a tasty cocktail of action, humor and sentiment. The flow takes a turn in the life of Pattas when he meets his mother Kanyakumari who is a talented Adimurai warrior after a very long time.

Hardworks of Dhanush (pattas) and Sneha (mother) to demonstrate Adimurai skills and techniques makes the movie more attention grabbing and their talent stands as backbone to the success of the movie.

Dhanush plays well in his duple role in this movie, which shows his class, mass, and perfection in every scene he acts. His actions gives perfection to both Pattas and Thiraviyaperumal. The actor displays a proper variance between the two characters not only in terms of body language but also in speaking styles and acting. Pattas, a naughty city boy with limited bonds roaming all over the city without any responsibility and on the other hand, Thiraviyaperumal a great martial art master with more serious bonds and maturity. His actions brings both tears and laughter to the spectators.

The movie makes its viewer blink less to see how Pattas breaks his handcuffs to save the pride of the clan. Nilan the main opponent never sees the true nature of Pattas until the end as if we never see the marvel and sparks of ‘fireworks’ until it is lit.

‘Pattas’ renders us how we should believe in ourselves and also it gives a knowledge about ‘Adimurai’. When we trust ourselves, all the hidden talents within us will start to flow through our veins like nothing. One thousands hands will tear you down, but if you believe in yourself, you will create a new path.

“Arts thrives on the soil”

“Take Adimurai to wage this war”
